Welcome to the world of Subnautica, an aquatic action-adventure survival game that takes place on distant alien planet 4546B. Follow the story of Ryley Robinson, the sole survivor of a spaceship crash trying to get back home to Earth. On 4546B, you will find yourself stranded on a strange planet covered entirely in water, inhabited by unimaginably terrible sea creatures waiting to pounce on you at every depth. To escape your oceanic fate, you will need to explore unimaginable depths and distances, build strong bases and powerful underwater vehicles, manage scarce resources, face off against giant predators, and race against the disease that threatens to take you, and the rest of the planet, with it.
Subnautica was developed and created by American video game development company Unknown Worlds Entertainment. Subnautica was available in early-access as early as 2014 and was officially released on January 23, 2018; since then, the game has amassed a strong cult following. It sold over 5 million copies within the first two years of its official released and has been lovingly dubbed “Thalassophobia: the game.” Subnautica is available on both console and PC for about $30.
