Hi! My name is Amanda K. G. Hemmert. I am a freelancer, student, and avid lover of books.

I am a soon-to-be graduate of Utah Valley University. I graduate with a Bachelors of Science in English, and an Editing and Print Design Certificate. During my time in my undergraduate I had the delight of being the editor-in-chief of Untold, the journal for the Honors Program at UVU, which I am part of. The work was intense and taught me a lot about leadership while expanding my editing experience. Currently I am working on my undergraduate thesis, which is a sample work of an annotated version of "Anne of Green Gables" by L. M. Montgomery. The footnotes, preface, and formatting in InDesign will be done by me over the course of the Spring 2024 semester. I have loved my time at UVU, and learned essential skills, such as HTML and CSS (yes, I coded this website), InDesign, technical and fictional editing, literature critique, and communication!

In my spare time, I love to read, play the flute, cook, and play board, video, and card games with my husband. If you want to read some of my book reviews, check out my Goodreads, linked below.

Currently I work as a freelance copy writer and editor. My goals as I move forward are to become a literary agent and publish a book one day. I hope you will join this journey with me!

Hang out with me on my socials!
