Queen is an iconic rock band. It's hard to imagine what it would have been like without Freddie Mercury. Without his dramatic flair, vocals, and performance style, it would have been very different band. Formed in 1970, the band consisted of Brain May on guitar/vocals, Roger Taylor on drums/vocals, John Deacon on bass, and Freddie Mercury on lead vocals and piano. Freddie was known for his amazing ability to work a crowd. His opening performance at Live Aid became an iconic moment when he sang "the note heard round the world".
