In this Online Exhibit I will introduce readers to the greatest NBA franchise known to man; the Utah Jazz.
For nearly 5 decades the Utah Jazz have dominated the sports market in the state of Utah as the only professional sports team. The scarcity of professional sports in the state has caused the fandom to grow exponentially no matter how talented the team might be that season. Fans have flocked to the Delta Center, the home of the Jazz, to watch their favorite players like Karl Malone and John Stockton or Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Watching these professional athletes shoot the ball is something worthy of praise from random individuals, but being able to praise the athletes of your own home state team holds a unique feeling.
My entrance into the fandom of the Utah Jazz came in 2008 when I attended my first game with my dad. The Golden State Warriors came into town to take on the Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer led Jazz and although the game wasn’t the most eventful, it was one of the most positive experiences of my life. I have continued my fandom of the Jazz ever since and my support has been well reciprocated by the organization itself.
