Lauren Wynn

My name is Lauren Wynn, and I am from beautiful Orem, UT, where I have lived the majority of my life. I have many interests and am involved in a number of activities and hobbies, which you can learn more about through this website. Despite being a Gen Z-er, I don't really like social media, but you can connect with me on LinkedIn or Goodreads.

Hello, and Welcome!

Currently, I am finishing my undergraduate degrees at Utah Valley University (UVU). I am double-majoring in Anthropology and English Literary Studies, while also completing a Certificate of Proficiency in Editing and Document Design. In addition to my coursework, I also work on campus as a Consultant in the Writing Center and am the editor-in-chief of the anthropology journal, Vera de Nobis.

After graduation, I plan to pursue a Masters of Folklore and a certification in herbalism. I am particularly interested in studying the connections between person and place, and I hope to work with individuals and communities to learn more, elevate marginalized voices and stories, and write about my findings.

Outside of academia, I spend my time more sporadically, participating in my many varying hobbies. I read and write a lot and am currently working on a book project that examines structural powers across space and time. I also participate in a number of cozy hobbies, including cooking, crocheting, playing my guitar, and oil painting, to name a few. Likewise, I am very fond of the outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling to new locations.
