Park Skating!!!

While roller skating is generally associated with the 70’s era of disco balls and funky tunes, a subculture of roller skating has immerged in the past 10 years that brings a whole new personality to the beloved sport. Park skating requires much more protection for the skater as well as additional equipment that allows for skaters to preform tricks alongside skateboarders and scooter kids alike. Looking to begin learning tricks at the park? Here is a list of the few starter tricks that people begin with on their journey to park roller skating.

Dropping into a bowl at the park is a great place to start. This movement helps skaters build up their confidence.

Stalls are a step up from just a drop in. They require the skater to balance on the coping.

Spine transitions are a great next trick once you master the stall. A spine is a feature with the ability to drop in on either side. A spine transfer is when you can ride up one side and transfer down the other!
