Heartless machines incapable of understanding even the meaning of democracy, the Automatons have been a thorn in Super Earth's side for some time now. However, despite their earnest attempts to provoke Super Earth, they have failed at nearly every turn. While we sustained heavy losses at the battle for Malevelon Creek during their first attack, Super Earth quickly recovered and swept aside these bots. Persistent as always, the Automatons have refused to surrender, but whether it was the Jet Brigade or their paltry attempts to find and destroy the DSS before it reached completion, the Helldivers stopped them at every turn. Now armed with the full might of the DSS, Super Earth's Helldivers are more than ready to take on and eliminate the Automaton threat before they can become an even bigger nuisance.
In order for the Helldivers to eliminate their enemies, they must first know their enemies. Below is a list of all known Automaton threats, be warned future Helldiver, any Automaton may appear dangerous and threatening, but none are mightier the Helldivers.
Automaton Bot: The standard ground troop for the Automaton forces, they can come equipped with blades, blasters, or jetpacks. Eliminate quickly to prevent them from calling in reinforcements
Automaton Devastator: The devastator is a heavy unit, and comes in three types, standard, rocket & shield. Each should be terminated with extreme prejudice from a distance. Of all of them the shield devastators can be the most dangerous, aim for their head or the rapid-fire laser to neutralize them.
Automaton Hulk: Helldivers are strongly advised to handle the Automaton Hulks with heavy weapons or strategems. If all else fails however, the battery cell on their back is particularly vulnerable. Partner up with your fellow Helldivers to take them down if heavy weapons are unavailable.
Automaton Marauder: Equipped with chainsaws, Marauders are quick and quiet, watch your back while in the field lest a horde of them sneak up on you. Be sure to put distance between you, and aim for either their midsection or the head to terminate.
Automaton Gunship: The Automatons eyes in the sky, these should be eliminated with precision or heavy weaponry, keep an eye out for gunship facilities as they will continue to spawn these gunships until destroyed.
Automaton Strider: A small walker to trasnport an individual Automaton Bot, the striders are relatively weak and possess little armor, there is another type, the Rocket Strider, that possesses heavy armor and requires more explosive solutions.
Automaton Factory Strider: An extremely dangerous Automaton creation, the Factory strider will periodically spawn devastators and Automaton Bots, all while the twin heavy chain guns and it's long range heavy cannon aim to kill your fellow Helldivers. Eliminate the cannons and guns first, and aim for the joints to bring this monster down.
Automaton Tank: There are three known types of tanks in the Automaton forces, the Annihilator, the Shredder, and the Mortar. Each is a threat and should be eliminated immediately with heavy equipment or stratagems.
