

"Definitely Maybe" is the debut album from Oasis. It was released in august 29, 1994. The chief writer on this album was Noel Gallagher.This album was an immediate success in the UK. This came after the success of the albums singles: "Supersonic", "Shaker Maker", and their top-ten hit, "Live Forever". The later being a radio hit success in the United States. The initial success was followed up by the sale of 15 millions copies worldwide.
"(What's The Story) Morning Glory", was the second studio album released by Oasis. This album shared the same success that the first did, selling an astonishing 22 million copies. The album went certified platinum on 14 countries. This no skip album produced some of the bands most popular hits including the likes of, "Don't Look Back in Anger", "Wonderwall", and "Champagne Supernova".


Following the great success of their first two albums, Oasis released "Be Here Now" on August 21, 1997. Although many of the songs on this album share the same qualities as those on the previous albums, Oasis decided to make them longer and include more guitar overdubs. Due to the Gallagher brothers fascination with the Beatles, they recorded many songs at the famous Abbey Road Studio. This album went certified Platinum 6x in the Uk and sold over 8 million copies.
Oasis entered the year 2000 with their fourth studio album titled, "Standing On The shoulders Of Giants". This was the bands first album under a new record label. This album kept the same rock and role feel, while also exploring a more alternative and psychedelic sound. This album feature "Gas Panic", which is considered to be of the bands best songs. This was the first time the band released an album that reached certified platinum in less than 5 countries. This was also the bands least selling album up to that point.


In 2002, Oasis traveled back to their rock and roll roots with the relsease of "Heathen Chemistry". This album is noted as the first in which memebers of the band, other than Noel Gallagher, made a significant writing contribution. The band were able to rediscover some success with this albums hit singles "Little By Little" and "Stop Crying Your Heart Out". Although this album recieved mixed reviews, it was a commercial success going certified platinum 4 times, and selling over a million units.
Fans would have to wait 3 years for the band to release "Dont Belive The Truth". After only a week from its release on May 30, 2005, the album reached number 1 on the Uk album charts. Upon its debut in the US, it entered their charts at number 12. This marked the first time an Oasis album had charted that high since their 1997 album, "Be Here Now". This album would go on to sell over one million copies worldwide.

On October 6, 2008 the Gallagher Brothers released their last album together as Oasis--"Dig Out Your Soul". This album was recorded exclusively at the famous Abby Road studio. Most of the songs on this album were written by Noel Gallagher, with three being penned by his brother and lead vocalist, Liam. This final album was recieved well by critics, many of who had not spoken highly of the bands work in recent years. Oasis went out in a blaze, but not before going platinum in the UK 4x with this final release.
